Salvation
Romans 3:23
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

John 3:16-17
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.  For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that  the world might be saved through Him.

Romans 10:9-10
that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

Salvation is as simple as the scripture says.  There is nothing we can do to earn it, it is a free gift.  Ephesians 2:8-9 says, "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of ourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast." All we have to do is call on the name of Jesus. If you have never accepted Jesus to be Lord of your life simply pray a prayer like this:
Lord, I know I am a sinner and that my sin separates me from You.
I believe your Son died on the cross for my sins and that You raised Him
from the dead on the third day.  I ask you to forgive my sins and come into my life.
Fill me with your Spirit, and lead and guide me daily.   In Jesus Name,  AMEN.

If you prayed this prayer and meant it you can be assured that you will spend eternity in heaven.  If you just prayed to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior please

The Bible says that once we ask Jesus to be Lord of our lives that a spiritual transformation takes place.  We are a new creation.
2 Corinthians 2:17 says “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.” However learning God’s word and His plan for our lives takes effort, 1 Peter 2:2 says “like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation.”  And Romans 10:17 says “So faith comes from hearing and hearing by the word of Christ.” In order for us to grow in our relationship with the Lord we have to seek Him daily through reading His word and prayer.
